Pyxis Suite

The Pyxis suite comprises a number of desktop applications for mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) data analysis, which support both untargeted and targeted data analysis, namely: Pyxis Viewer, Pyxis MSI, and Pyxis.

Depending on the needs and field of application, users can decide whether to activate a single product or a combination of them.

All the applications are designed to be:

  • Vendor neutral
  • User-friendly
  • Optimized and parallelized algorithms
  • Background processing of computational intensive tasks
        Pyxis Viewer

Is the simplest and basic app to get started with MS imaging data visualization and analysis.

The workflow supported by Pyxis Viewer covers: raw data processing, histological coregistration, manual drawing or importing of regions annotated by pathologists, images and spectra visualization, exploratory data analysis (segmentation, PCA, colocalization), automatic report generation, and a number of functions to export results in open format.

Noteworthy, this is one of the recommended solutions for MassTech AP-MALDI customers (https://www.apmaldi.com/).

       Pyxis MSI

Is the most complete and most versatile solution for MS imaging data analysis. The workflow supported by Pyxis MSI covers all the steps required for MSI data analysis: raw data processing, histological coregistration, manual drawing or importing of regions annotated by pathologists, image visualization, exploratory data analysis (segmentation, PCA, colocalization), automatic report generation, a variety of univariate and multivariate image and spectral analysis tools, quantification, and automated metabolites and drug metabolites annotation, including MS/MS-based identification. A number of functions to export results in open format are also available.

       Pyxis

Is the newest, comprehensive solution for ion mobility-MS imaging (IMS-MSI) data analysis. It supports both untargeted and targeted data analysis, distributed as desktop applications. The workflow supported by Pyxis covers all the steps required for IMS-MSI data analysis: raw data processing, histological coregistration, image and mobilogram visualization, manual drawing or importing of regions annotated by pathologists, image visualization, exploratory data analysis (segmentation, PCA, colocalization), automatic report generation, a variety of univariate and multivariate image and spectral analysis tools, and automated metabolites annotation, including CCS- and MS/MS-based identification. A number of functions to export results in open format are also available.
